In Magic and Astrology, each day is connected to a planet or star and it has certain characteristics and powers which are promoting and supporting certain kind of activities. So each day has different aspects which have different effects on all the levels of interaction (mental, physical, etheric).
In a series of small articles I will write about each day of the week, using snippets from articles which explain in a clear and easy to understand manner, what are the main characteristics of each day and what spells or magic work you can do during under those energies. Lets begin from the day of the Sun... well you guessed right, Sunday!
Sunday (Sun)
Sunday is the day of the Sun, a perfect day for relaxing, unwinding and connecting with your inner self.
Sunday is the perfect day for going within and tapping into your inner sunshine and radiance. The energy of the day really supports self-reflection, spiritual growth and giving yourself the time you need to restore and replenish your soul.
Sunday carries with it a beautiful vibe for unwinding and getting centered and refocused for the week ahead. Sunday is also the perfect time to focus on matters surrounding your health and well-being.
Social gatherings are also likely to be harmonious and easy-flowing on Sunday and emotions will often feel softer and gentler.
In order to use the energy of Sunday effectively, make it a day for rest and relaxation. Try not to schedule anything too demanding or high energy on Sunday and instead, take the time to connect to your inner radiance. (taken from here)
Sunday Magical Correspondences
Sunday is associated with the colors yellow and gold, which shouldn't be surprising - it's the day of the sun, right? Because of this planetary association, this is a day that's also connected to solar deities like Helios and Ra. Interestingly, in some Celtic traditions, Brighid's day is Sunday as well.
When it comes to crystal use, Sunday is related to quartz crystals and diamonds, as well as the yellowish hues of carnelian and amber. For herbs and plants in magical workings, use marigolds, sunflowers or cinnamon.
What kind of magic is best performed on Sunday? Well, it's a day that generally has a number of associations - agriculture, beauty, hope, victory, self-expression and creativity are all connected to this particular day. Plant or harvest something new (not just material crops, but metaphysical ones as well), create something from nothing, and prepare to win at everything. (taken from here)
